Hi to Schraufnagel family, I’ve certainly enjoyed the pictures, etc. of your life down under. I was surprised to learn that Tony taught at Texas Tech. Many years ago, I went to school there. I actually grew up on Lubbock, and knew many of the professors because they were parents of my school chums. So, when I was old enough for college, I couldn’t decide how to address some of my now professors! For years I had called them by first names. Classrooms were more formal then, and last names were used most of the time. Good to hear from you. Best regards, Margaret Eastwood

Hi there….I am an old friend of Caitlin’s from Lamar H.S. in Arlington, TX.
I am so glad you are in NZ, a great experience for the kids, too.

Please tell Caitlin I miss her & we should get together when you return to TX.
We would make the drive from OK to TX to meet up….it has been way too long….

    God Bless…..

Tony, all I can say is wow! What an opportunity for you and your family. I also loved the pictures. Your description of things reminded me of the small island on which I lived in England for 7 years! Of course, that was back in the 60′s but when you were talking about the fireplace being your source of heat certainly brought back memories: Emptying ash every morning from the coal It was a trip.

It is Monday and we are starting off to a very good day. It is actually only in the 90s. Carpool last week was fun the parents and kids were all on their best behavior. I enjoy doing MS carpool for the first week of school. I wouldn’t want to do it all the time.

Say hello to your family and I look forward to hearing more.

    Darlene

    Hi Tony
I heard of you from Lloyd at the Community Arts Council in Nelson and would like to touch base while you are here, and get some marketing mentoring in particular for my art – no ordinary works.
In Nelson just now, as part of the Arts Festival, I have five works in the windows of Dowsons Shoes which open on to Montgomery Square, where the Sat. Mkt. is held.
If you could check them out and see what you think.
I intend to be at my studio all this weekend as it is Labour Day on Mon. and am hoping for visitors, so you might like to go out Mapua way as Dominion Rd. is near there.
    Regards
    David Kemp

Hello Tony,I would like to invite you to come and visit Craft Potters out at hope where there may be some opportunities to run some work shops with our Diploma in ceramic art students [all three of us] also with our club members. We are in the potters map which will give you directions, also phoning first maybe a good idea as the workshop/gallery is personed by volunteers and or hours fluctuate.

Also have you had any experience with working with adults with disabilites?
    Thanks
    Emily Bolton
